With the departing couple retiring, the business turns over £0.5m annually (currently 90% plus wet sales – real ales) supported by a loyal, local clientele (over 21s only).
The current Food offering is limited; however, there is scope to develop this with a well equipped kitchen in place & top estate / farm suppliers located within the immediate area.
Open seven days a week, all year round –
Taking ownership of the property, you will be instrumental in maintaining & developing the business, reporting to the Pub Owner based in London
Daily running of the business with particular focus on service, product quality & business development
Inventory control – purchasing & supplier liaison, invoices
Recruitment (although established, small team in place), man management, training, personnel files, rosters, payroll
Finance management & book keeping, banking, reporting figures to Owner on weekly basis (P&L targets)
Due Diligence – Hygiene, Food Safety, Fire Safety, First Aid, Licensing records & procedures
Building & equipment maintenance

Proven experience running a small, successful Country style Pub or Guest House (Bed & Breakfast)
Hands on management style & strong hospitality focus – ability to run business autonomously

Salary & Benefits
£40,000 Basic Start Salary + Potential Profit Share scheme
3 Months Probationary Period: Regular Performance Related Salary Reviews
