Sous chef - new exciting opening - NE London 



This position is to start now 





Sous chef required for a leading retail brand who have acquired a new site ( currently have two existing sites in London and Shanghai ) and a third site in NE London over 5 floors they have a high investment are expanding into hospitality ( combining food restaurant on one floor and high end luxury retail on the other) currently renovating the building to a very high standard they are looking for a creative and innovative head chef to head up the restaurant of 60 covers, with the main focus on a brunch offering 



The food will compliment the brand as in seasonal British with international twist though they are open minded and are looking for a head chef ( with a strong background) to guide them with the menu the main focus will be on brunch /lunch with a potential evening offer, ( FOOD PRESENTATION IS KEY) 





This role represents a great opportunity for an ambitious but calm mannered chef who is looking for their next step to support the head chef in this exciting opening



Role




  •  Responsible for the brigade with the support of the head chef 


  • Training and motivation of your team


  • Creative input


  • Stock management


  • Rota management


  • Implementing health and safety , food hygiene practices


  • Assisting with the smooth running of the kitchen at all times



Candidate Profile



Ability to commit to a role and demonstrate a steady work background 




  • Will have at least 2 years experience as a sous chef in a rosette standard operation or/ seasonal fresh food restaurant environment with international culinary influences


  • Demonstrate strong man management


  • Good creative flair


  • Will be able to remain calm and professional under pressure


  • Good administration skills


  • Must have excellent cooking skills and technical knowledge


  • Must demonstrate a passion for good quality, fresh ingredients


  • Excellent organisational skills 



Salary & Benefits



Based on 48 hours - excellent progression and media opportunity 



£package of circa BASIC  28 k per annum PLUS TRONC


Salary: £28 - 32k per annum
