Nestling in the heart of this popular and picturesque village, this country pub is seen as vital addition to the thriving Wiltshire country dining scene with an emphasis on fresh and seasonal dishes from locally sourced produce.

The team are committed to seasonal and local produce, so much so that they raise their own pigs to produce their own house charcuterie, air cured hams, wet cured hams, sausages and even bacon, they also bake a substantial amount of their own bread.

The Role

•Reporting directly to the Head Chef

•As a Sous Chef you will be assisting with the responsibility of a kitchen brigade of 5 chefs

•Responsible for submitting daily, weekly and monthly reports

•Recruitment, training and motivation of your team

•Demonstrating creative input with ideas on seasonal menu development

•Stock and wastage management

•Staff rota management

•Implementing health and safety program as specified by the company

•Maintaining the smooth running of the kitchen during busy service times

Candidate Profile

•Will have at least 18 months experience as a Sous Chef ideally from a fast paced busy quality led gastro background

•Demonstrate strong team management and excellent creative flair

·Steady career progression up to Sous Chef level must be demonstrated

•Will be able to remain calm and professional under pressure

•Good administration skills

•Must demonstrate a passion for good quality, fresh ingredients

•Excellent organizational skills
