Located in a busy, vibrant Market Town of Norfolk, this stunning 17c Country Inn Hotel set in stunning grounds is currently offering a fantastic opportunity for a talented & highly ambitious Sous Chef to support their award winning Executive Chef & team.
Maintaining 2AA Rosettes, seasonal menus reflect the best at Market supported by close relationships with growers & suppliers in the immediate area – menus also reflect close proximity to the Coast.

Role
Working closely with Executive & Head Chefs, supporting them in all areas of kitchen management,
Responsibilities include:
Supporting Day to Day Running of the Kitchen – Brigade of 8 – 10 Chefs / Supporting Pass
Running Service in Chefs’ absence & contributing to Menu Development
Team Training & Development, Delegation & Direction
Stock Control, Supplier Liaison, Ordering, Invoices, Stock Counting, Wastage Control
Due Diligence: Hygiene, H&S Records & Cleaning Rosters
This rewarding position will provide you with the ability to expand your skills and experience, working with a strong team in what is undoubtedly one of the best hotel kitchens in North Norfolk
Candidate Profile
Min 24 months experience as a Jnr Sous / Sous Chef level within a quality Rosette Restaurant operation – knowledge of modern European cuisine & living in local area an advantage
This is a busy operation & a challenging position where you will need to have experience of delivering 170 plus covers per service
Strong all round skill set – organisation, technical, attention to detail – ability to deliver under pressure

Salary & Benefits
Up to £28,000 Start Salary (candidate dependent)
3 Months Probationary Period: Regular Performance Related Salary Reviews
