Senior sous chef - Popular foodie hotel restaurant and events venue - Pembrokeshire £28,600 plus paid overtime - Stunning rural location 



Opportunity to relocate from London - 



 





Renown local hotel restaurant and stunning event venue popular with weddings and functions offering a fabulous guest experience , is now looking for an experienced and proficient senior sous chef from a busy fresh food quality background to join its team.





With menu input working under a talented head chef and set in a fabulous rural location in stunning Pembrokeshire, this is a fantastic opportunity for a talented professional to join a company offering a great working friendly environment and the chance to work with quality local seasonal produce.



 





The hotel and restaurant events venue has established a great local reputation and is a popular event venue with a 40 cover restaurant a large function room which can host up to 130 and private dining room plus outdoor patio area of up to 40 covers



The Role





·Responsible for the supervision and management for a small team of chefs





·Creating all dishes from fresh, locally sourced and seasonal ingredients





Working with great local produce 





·Fully responsible for all of the departments financial duties





·Recruiting, training and inducting new members of staff





·Planning to logistics of each function with the management team





·Training and mentoring the team





·Ensuring that a great level of communication is constantly carried out during busy services





·Following health and safety and correct food safety regimes



Ability to run the kitchen in the absence of the head chef 





The Person



 





You must have at least two years’ experience as senior sous head chef within a busy brasserie or gastro pub restaurant used to working in a busy fast paced environment



 





·You will have stayed within your last position for at least the last 12 months



 





·Be able to create dishes from fresh ingredients



 





·Calm and level headed working with an established renown local business with low staff turn over



 



 



 



Salary & Benefits







£28,600 per annum basic salary ( plus paid overtime) 





2 days off ( generally 2 days together) 



 



Great for a chef /young family who wants to escape the city and live in a stunning rural location offering a very affordable local accommodation ( approx. £ 375per month for a one bed apartment) great local amenities /schools etc 



 





In accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, candidates must prove their entitlement to work in the 



 





 



 





UK – Verification of Documentation will be undertaken as part of the recruitment process
