A Popular waterside restaurant, 45 covers serving a high standard of internationally inspired cuisine, our client is an independent operation , who uses local East London suppliers . The style of food is designed for sharing.



. A modern cooking style with a focus on flavour and sourcing of ingredients, using global influences inspired by a well travelled and well reviewed exec head chef who is looking to step out of the kitchen and involve himself in other aspects of the business



This role represents a great opportunity for an ambitious but calm mannered chef ( open kitchen and friendly environment) who is looking for their next step up as a head chef and wanting to show case their talent



Role




  • Fully responsible for a small brigade in open galley style kitchen




  • Menu creation




  • training and motivation of your team




  • Creative input




  • Stock management




  • Rota management




  • Implementing health and safety , food hygiene practices




  • Maintaining the smooth running of the kitchen at all times





Candidate Profile



Ability to commit to a role and demonstrate a steady work background 






  • Will have at least 2 years experience as a sous chef /head chef in a rosette standard operation or/ seasonal fresh food restaurant environment 




  • Demonstrate strong man management




  • Good creative flair




  • Will be able to remain calm and professional under pressure




  • Good administration skills






  • Will be from the local area or willing to travel






  • Must have excellent cooking skills and technical knowledge






  • Must demonstrate a passion for good quality, fresh ingredients






  • Excellent organisational skills ( narrow galley kitchen) 





Salary & Benefits





Closed on Mondays /Tuesday working hours - 40 - 48 hours closes at 9p.m ( no late evenings ) great for a candidate who lives in East London







£package of 35 - 38 k per annum
