This contemporary, stylish Eatery located in the City of London is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Commis Chef to join their friendly and professional team.
Passionate about simple Mediterranean food, this modern Restaurant Cafe & Deli is bustling from Breakfast through Lunch offering daily changing menus showcasing the finest, freshest ingredients and authentic regional recipes reflecting the season and what’s fresh at market.
With a high spec. open kitchen, the Restaurant caters for 30 plus Lunch covers with additional, busy Cafe & Take-Out trade throughout the day.
Role
Working under a talented Head Chef within a small team, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of dishes from scratch for both the Restaurant (incl. fresh pasta, bread, ice cream, chutneys & pickles) and Deli counters.
With ongoing in-house training, you will work in a well equipped, open kitchen gaining experience on all sections including sauce, meat, fish, larder and pastry.
Responsibilities include:
Food Preparation & Service
Stock Control: Storage of Deliveries & Stock Rotation
Daily Hygiene, Health & Safety Procedures and Cleaning Duties

Candidate Profile
With proven Commis Chef experience gained within similar, quality Restaurant and / or Cafe establishments, you will have a real passion to cook and have a genuine desire to learn and develop skills further.
You will have high levels of energy, a positive and dedicated working attitude and enjoy working in a team.
Reliable and well presented, you will also be up to date with current Hygiene legislation and be able to speak English.
Salary & Benefits
£17,000 Basic Start Salary pa & Daily Cash / Net Tips (OTE: £18,000 pa)
Working Hours: 7.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday (Restaurant Closed at Weekends & Public / Bank Holidays)
3 Months Probationary Period: Regular Performance Related Salary Reviews
