Our client is one of the most successful operators of Gastro pubs in London. They have an excellent reputation for their fresh inventive food and excellent service standards. The Group has won many awards over the years. They are looking for a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef of their flagship site and to be an integral part of a successful, professional kitchen and the venue as a whole.
Role
The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Head Chef and will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen in the Head’s absence. You will be involved in recruitment, training and motivation of the junior members of the brigade, also with responsibilities in ordering, stock control and the implementation of the health and safety program as specified by the company’s program, along with some administrative duties and creative input into the daily changing menus.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will have proven experience in a similar Gastro/Brasserie situation with a good professional history working with fresh, seasonal ingredients. You will need to demonstrate a creative flair and be confident and efficient working with high volumes of covers in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will be a natural motivator and a strong leader. Excellent organisational skills are a must with an obvious drive and passion for good food and exceeding customer expectations.
Salary & Benefits
£26,000 P/A
