This Elegant 2AA Rosette Fine Dining Restaurant situated on the River Thames is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join their professional team.
Located within a Stunning Grade II listed Building and currently aiming for a 3rd Rosette, Seasonal British Menus include Brunch served from 10.00am - 11.30am, A La Carte Lunch from 11.30am - 3.00pm and Afternoon Tea from 3.00pm until 5.00pm (Monday - Sunday).
Popular with Members of Parliament & Local Professionals, this Fashionable Dining Room also caters for Private Functions & Events throughout the year.
Role
Supporting the Head & Sous Chefs to lead a brigade of 15, you will play an integral part in delivering classical British Cuisine to 3AA Rosette Standard.
Brunch, A La Carte Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Tasting Menus.
Responsibilities Include:
Running the Kitchen in the Head & Sous Chefs’ Absence
Menu Planning & Costing (Menus Changing 6 Times Per Year, Monthly Tasting Menu & Daily Market Specials)
Stock Control: Daily Orders, Deliveries, Stock Counting, Wastage Control
Team Training & Development
Daily Hygiene Records & Procedures, Cleaning Rosters
Restaurant Covers: medium Brunch levels, 80 - 120 A La Carte Lunch covers, Afternoon Tea (busy on Saturdays).
Contracted to work 8.00am - 5.00pm (5 Days - 7 Days Operation - 47.5 Hrs P/Wk) with additional Paid Overtime available (Events Hospitality Department - Awards Ceremonies, Product Launches, VIP Functions, etc), this stunning Restaurant offers the ideal candidate an unrivalled opportunity to work within an energetic, friendly and professional team.

Candidate Profile
With proven experience gained working within comparable Restaurants and/or Hotels in London (Snr CDP/Jnr Sous Chef level), you will have a passion to cook fine food, enjoy menu planning and training others.
With strong all round skills, you will demonstrate a positive and flexible working attitude, work well within a team, under pressure and on your own initiative.
You will be up to date on current Hygiene Legislation.
Salary & Benefits
£20,000 Basic Start Salary (Paid Monthly) + £5,000 Service Charge pa (Paid Weekly)
Overtime: £10.60 - £12.00 P/Hr from 6pm Onwards (Restaurant & Events Hospitality Department)
Bank & Public Holidays: Double Time Rate
5 Straight Daytime Shifts: 8am - 5pm (47.5 Hrs P/Wk), 7 Day Operation
3 Months Probationary Period: Regular Performance Related Salary Reviews

Chef Uniform + Meals on Duty
