The Lunch destination of choice for City Professionals, this highly reputed Establishment caters for 80 - 120 Lunch/Dinner covers Monday to Friday with additional high profile Functions & Events.

Role

Supporting the Executive Chef to lead a Brigade of 18 - you will play an integral part in the continued Culinary Success of this Established Restaurant.

Responsibilities:

Managing the Kitchen in the Executive Chef’s Absence

Menu Planning & Costing (A La Carte & Daily Specials Menu)

Overseeing Mise en Place & Service - Fast Paced Lunch Service

Stock Control: Orders, Invoices, Stock Counting, Wastage Control

Chef Training & Development, Briefings

Due Diligence: Hygiene Records & Procedures, Cleaning Rosters

Contracted to work 50 Hrs per Week (4 Split Shifts - Monday to Friday), Benefits include a Well Structured, Professional Working Environment, Paid Overtime, Ongoing In-House Training, External Courses, Regular Performance Related Salary Reviews with Excellent Opportunities of Progression & Movement within this Established, Award Winning Company.

Candidate Profile

Strong Experience & Skills Gained in Quality/Award Winning Restaurant and/or Hotel Operations

Knowledge of French Cuisine an Advantage

Strong All Round Skills: Organisation, Leadership & Communication

Ability to Work Well under Pressure and on Own Initiative

Passion to Cook, Menu Plan & Develop Skills Further

Strong on Due Diligence & Up to Date on Current Hygiene Legislation

Salary & Benefits

£27,000 - £30,000 Basic Start Salary pa + Paid Overtime

3 Months Probationary Period: Regular Performance Related Salary Reviews

50 Hrs P/Wk - 4 Split Shifts (Monday - Friday)
