This stylish, contemporary Restaurant Brasserie & Bar located in South West London is currently offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Sous Chef to join their professional team.

With Modern Interiors and an Open Kitchen, this popular Neighbourhood Venue offers seasonal Mediterranean/European Brasserie Menus, attracting a varied and loyal Clientele all year round.

Covers: Restaurant (x90), Cocktail/Wine Bar (x40), Private Dining Room (x40) & additional Outdoor Dining.

Breakfast/Brunch, Lunch & Dinner Menus: Trading Levels Peaking Mid Week Evenings & Weekends.

Role

Supporting the Head Chef, you will play an integral part of the continued success of this Established Business.

Restaurant Covers: 50 - 120 Lunch/Dinner

Responsibilities include:

Menu Planning & Costing

Running the Kitchen & Leading a Brigade of 6 Chefs in the Head Chef’s Absence

Stock Control: Orders, Supplier Liaison, Deliveries, Stock Counting, Wastage Control

Chef Training & Development, Tastings & Briefings

Hygiene Records & Procedures, Cleaning Rosters

Contracted to work 50 Hrs P/Wk (7 Shifts over 5 Days), Benefits include a Well Structured, Professional Working Environment, Ongoing In-House Training, External Courses, Regular Performance Related Salary Reviews and Bonus Incentives with Excellent Opportunities of Movement & Progression within this Expanding, Independent Group.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have strong experience and skills gained in quality/award winning Restaurant and/or Gastro operations with knowledge of modern European cuisine an advantage.

Naturally organised with the ability to multi-task, you will be able to lead a team and work well under pressure, enjoying a busy kitchen environment, menu planning and team training.

Strong on due diligence, you will also be up to date on current Hygiene Legislation.

Salary & Benefits

£24,000 - £26,000 Basic Start Salary pa+ Bonus Incentives + Cash Tips (OTE: £28,000 - £30,000 pa)

Approx. 50 Hrs P/Wk (7 Shifts over 5 Days)

3 Months Probationary Period: Regular Performance Salary Reviews

£24,000 – £26,000 Basic Start Salary pa+ Bonus Incentives + Cash Tips (OTE: £28,000 – £30,000 pa)
