This Contemporary Gastro Pub & Restaurant situated in stunning rural Leicestershire is currently offering a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join their professional team.

Featuring a spacious Dining Room & Bar with Terrace & stunning Garden, this established Country Inn offers a range of homely, seasonal Dishes sourcing quality ingredients from UK Producers & Suppliers.

Serving Food from 12pm until 9.30pm, Monday to Thursday, until 10pm on Friday and Saturday and until 8.30pm on Sunday - this beautiful Country Pub is incredibly popular within the local area.

Role

Supporting the Chef in all areas of Kitchen Management, you will play an integral part in the continued Success of this Established Business.

Catering for 12,000 - 14,000 Covers Per Week

Responsibilities Include:

Creative Menu Planning & Costing - Season Dishes including Daily Board Specials

Daily Running of the Kitchen in the Head Chef’s Absence

Stock Control: Orders, Deliveries, Stock Counting, Wastage Control

Chef Training & Development, Briefings

Hygiene, H&S Records & Procedures, Cleaning Schedules

Contracted to work 50 hours over 5 days (5 Split Shifts) within a well equipped Kitchen, Benefits include a Well Structured & Professional Working Environment, Accommodation, Ongoing In-House Training, Workshops throughout the Year, External Courses, Regular Performance Related Salary Reviews with Excellent Opportunities of Progression & Movement within this Established Group.

Candidate Profile

The Ideal Candidate will have a minimum of 2 yrs Sous Chef experience gained within quality/high volume Gastro Pubs and/or Restaurant Brasseries in the UK.

Naturally organised with the ability to multi-task, you will be able to lead a team and work well under pressure, enjoying a busy kitchen environment and team training.

Strong on Due Diligence, you will also be up to date on current Hygiene Legislation.

£22000 Basic Start Salary pa + Weekly Tips (£90 plus P/Wk) + Possible Bonus Incentives + Accommodation

3 Months Probationary Period: Regular Performance Related Salary Reviews
