This Multi Award Winning Gastro Pub & Dining Rooms situated in stunning rural Kent is currently offering a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join their professional team.

Featuring a spacious Brasserie, 2 Bars, Private Dining Rooms and Terrace, this stunning Country Inn embraces the Heritage of British Food sourcing the finest ingredients from local Farm Producers & Suppliers - from Rare Breed Meat & Game to Organic Vegetables & Wild Herbs.

Establishing an unrivalled reputation in the local area, this Independent Gastro also caters for Weddings (Marquee), Meetings, Conference & Corporate Events.

Role

Supporting the Chef in all areas of Kitchen Management, you will play an integral part in the continued Culinary Success of this Established Business.

Responsibilities Include:

Creative Menu Planning & Costing - Creating & Delivering a Range of Inspiring & Seasonal Dishes

Daily Running of the Kitchen in the Head Chef’s Absence

Stock Control: Orders, Supplier Liaison, Invoices, Stock Counting, GP Margins, Wastage Control

Chef Training & Development, Briefings

Hygiene, H&S Records & Procedures, Daily/Weekly Cleaning Schedules

Contracted to work 50 hours over 5 days (2 Split & 3 Straight Shifts) within a well equipped Kitchen, Benefits include a Well Structured & Professional Working Environment, Ongoing In-House Training, External Courses, Regular Performance Related Salary Reviews with Excellent Opportunities of Progression & Movement within this Expanding Independent Group.

Candidate Profile

The Ideal Candidate will have a minimum of 2 yrs Sous Chef experience gained within quality/rosette standard Gastro Pubs and/or Restaurant Brasseries in the UK.

With real passion and enthusiasm, you will enjoy delivering innovative and creative Menus cooked with flair and imagination.

Naturally organised with the ability to multi-task, you will be able to lead a team and work well under pressure, enjoying a busy kitchen environment and team training.

Strong on due diligence, you will also be up to date on current Hygiene Legislation.

Salary & Benefits

£24000 - £27000 Basic Start Salary pa + Possible Bonus Incentives

3 Months Probationary Period: Regular Performance Related Salary Reviews
