The Company:

Our Client an Independent and well respected small and growing pub company with 5 sites has a new opening within the Hampstead area. The brief is for a sous chef to support the newly appointed Head chef to create the menu (the sites menus all vary to enable the chef to have creative input and also tailor the menu to the local clientele /area. This is a great opportunity within an expanding upmarket high end gastro pub site and group to create a strong identity for the kitchen.

Role Details:

The site is located in the Hampstead Heath area

The space allows for around 80-100 covers, with a small garden at the front. We expect the venue to be very popular for both food as well as drinking, but to remain very much a pub and not a restaurant.

We will be looking to have a brunch menu on at weekends and offer the best Sunday Roast in the area. Using high quality ingredients and treating them simply and with care to create a quite classic and delicious modern European menu with a lean towards British pub classics.

You will be assisting the head chef to lead a small team, with a supportive and relaxed atmosphere. We regard our Sous Chefs as future Head Chefs in our growing company, and we encourage lots of input and prioritise training and growth so you are ready to move up if that is your ambition. We are actively working on new sites to add to the group, so there will be opportunities for growth in the future

About you

Experience in a comparable fresh food gastro/restaurant operation, keen to work in  a new exciting opening and support in creating a strong identity for the site, a personable friendly and can do attitude is key working with a friendly supportive  head chef with a diverse culinary background.
