Beautiful, buzzy neighbourhood spot in Hammersmith is looking for a progressive Head Chef to lead the team and play a crucial role in the growth of this business. This is a busy spot known for excellent cooking and would be best suited to an experienced Head Chef used to cooking brilliant food at high volume while supporting and engaging this tight knit friendly team.
Day to Day Running of the Kitchen – leading / directing a team of 5
Rota - Organising monthly rota for kitchen according to budgets
Menu Planning – working closely with the owner to create weekly
seasonal specials alongside a regular menu offering
Team training and development, recipe development, team briefings
and appraisals
Stock Control: Supplier Liaison, Ordering, Invoices, Stock Counting,
Wastage Control
Due Diligence: Hygiene, H&S Records & Cleaning Rosters
The hours are daytime 7.30 am - 3.30/4pm
Everything is made fresh in house to include all pastries.
All access to a plot growing seasonal herbs and vegetable to incorporate in the menus
About you:
This role would suit a creative head chef who loves to cook and thrives in a busy kitchen environment but also wants to achieve a work life balance within a close knit friendly team
Experienced as a head chef within a foodie cafe /restaurant environment
Calm & methodical working approach – self motivated, team spirited, and the desire to part of a growing modern and cutting edge business.
Reliable, creative , hard working & genuine intention to offer long term commitment to next role
Positive attitude able to motivate, inspire and nurture the small kitchen team of 5
